Aluminum composite panel with a polyethylene core: the lightest and most economical option. It is used for signage, displays, booths, furniture, and interior cladding.

PE Core
For signs and interiors
Its aluminum skins are thinner than those of facade panels, and its polyester or polyurethane coating is designed for interior and advertising use. It provides a flat, rigid substrate for vinyl, direct printing or lettering, and is easy to cut, mill and fold. Important: the PE core has no reaction-to-fire classification for facades. For facades and exterior building cladding, use the FR panel (B-s1,d0) or the A2 panel (A2-s1,d0).
Indoors, it is a good choice for cladding walls in homes or covering tiles, away from cooking areas; in shops and offices FR is usually required, and we will let you know. For signs, 3 mm is the usual thickness, with 4 mm for large pieces. At StarModul we cut, mill and fold it in our workshop, from a single piece upwards, and ship it ready to install.

Uses of PE Composite Panels
- Signs and posters: flat, rigid backing for vinyl, direct printing, or lettering.
- Interiors: wall coverings in homes (for example, to cover tiles, away from the cooking area). For commercial spaces and offices, please contact us: the FR rating is usually required.
- Booths, display stands, and furniture.
Frequently asked questions
Can PE panels be used on building facades?
We do not recommend it for exterior walls or near heat sources. Exterior walls require a fire reaction class that the PE core does not meet; for exterior walls, use FR (the most commonly used) or A2 (also for residential buildings).
What thickness is used for signs?
The most common thickness is 3 mm. The 4 mm version provides greater rigidity for large parts.
Do you cut it to size?
Yes. We cut, mill, and bend in our workshop. See “Machining.”
